Knitting group meeting

The weekly knitting group meeting in Freiberg, Hospitalweg 2a, takes place each Wednesday between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Refugees may relax together with Germans by practicing this pleasant craft. They may also chat, speak German or have a cup of tea.

During the knitting meetings, preferred sweaters and jackets are knitted.  Needles and wool are available. Some of the participants also do other crafts such as crochet and embroidery.

Place: The knit group meets in a room of the Catholic Priest’s Office St. Johannes der TäuferHospitalweg 2a. The room is located in the basement of the building marked on the map. A stair from the outside, next to some car ports, leads there

Time: Each Wednesday between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Learning to knit

You are not able to knit yet? – This is not a problem! You can learn from the others. German language proficiency is not necessarily required.

You may also bring your children of 3 years of age or older. Somebody in the group will take care of them.

Partner: We cooperate with Wohlfühlladen Naundorf

Tip: Also the creative centre Stehaufmännchen, Chemnitzer Str. 35a, gives refugees the opportunity to do creative crafting. – Visit the website
